General Information About Student Clerkship

Thank you for your interest in Einstein’s Medical Student Clerkship Rotation! For prospective 4th year medical students, we offer a 4 week rotation at our main hospital to develop students skills in diagnosing, treating, and caring for underserved patients at a level 1 trauma hospital in Philadelphia. We believe the best way to learn is for you to be directly involved in patient care.

Prospective students can expect to have autonomy over the patients they see, practice procedural skills such as peripheral IVs, laceration repairs, reductions, and have one-on-one learning with our residents and faculty during shifts. By the end of a rotation with us, our goal is to make you thorough and efficient in the performance of history and physical exams, understands the utility of diagnostic tests and push you to develop treatment plans and disposition for your patients.
