Under the guidance of our three dedicated fellowship trained ultrasound faculty and multiple ultrasound credentialed Attending Physicians, by the end of residency at Einstein EM, you will be more than comfortable to pick up a probe and evaluate patients. Using one of our five ED dedicated SonoSite, Mindray, and handheld Butterfly ultrasound machines, residents are taught to complete and interpret everything from bedside abscess evaluation to cardiac echos to placing ultrasound guided IVs and lines. We utilize QPath software to log our ultrasounds and QA is completed in real time by faculty on shift and reviewed by our fellowship trained faculty allowing you the opportunity to constantly improve your technique, comfort, and knowledge of everything ultrasound. Learning doesn’t just end on shift, through a dedicated ultrasound rotation, monthly didactics, elective opportunities, and monthly journal clubs you are guaranteed a wide and varied immersion in point of care ultrasound!
